
Another beautiful day, another 25k-ish ride to the beaches. Had a nice nap, sunned a bit (wore lotsa sunscreen this time and even brought it along to replenish), read, looked around a lot, got hit on (very nice guy – who looks like a ginger Tim Roth – but I’m not in the mood or headspace), took a different route home, really enjoyed myself.

So I’m looking around at 20-somethings in their summer outfits and feeling ok about myself
It’s hard work getting, staying and being in shape - F%$#@! – especially at my age. But as I start looking better I really start feeling better as well. I have more energy, I’m alert, I sleep well, crave good food and am more motivated to keep up the work… and it is work - conscious effort, burn, pain, and it sucks but the alternative isn’t an option.

Though I’ve been missing the soreness and burn these last few weeks because I’m in the plateau zone, having kept up my workout regiment for 5 weeks straight now. I know I need to add more to my workouts but I just hate being in a “gym” and exercising the traditional way
BORING. What I really want is to close a few deals, get some momentum at work and then – as a reward – add in training to my workouts – YAY!
